Attica is the new name for the recording studio and creative workspace that I established and have been running for the last 10 years. Over the course of that time, it has served as my working space for writing, practising, rehearsing and recording my own music, but has also played host to numerous creative people from all fields of art, sound, digital and academia. Formerly known as Dealmaker Studios, the space underwent another big renovation in 2017 which I undertook with the help of some friends. I decided it was time to re-think the space’s image, so I employed the superb imagination and brand-development expertise of friend and colleague Ste Allan who conceived the new name – Attica. We occupy the highest two floors of the building at 11-13a Broad St, Nottingham, in the creative quarter of Nottingham city centre; Hockley.

Ste has made huge contributions to this project over many years and I owe a lot of what we’ve achieved to his excellent work and friendship.

The new site for Attica is where you’ll be able to find out more about the artists, musicians and residents we’re hosting.
