Attica is the new name for the recording studio and creative workspace that I established and have been running for the last 10 years. Over the course of that time, the space has played host to numerous creative people from all fields of art, sound, digital and academia. Formerly known as Dealmaker Studios, the space underwent another big renovation last year which I undertook with the help of some friends and having been established in its new form for a while, one year on, I decided it was time to re-think the space’s image. I employed the superb imagination and brand-development expertise of friend and colleague Ste Allan who conceived the new name – Attica – aligning ourselves with the ideals of ancient Greece, the pursuit of knowledge and creativity, while making clear that we occupy the highest floors of the building at 11-13a Broad St, Nottingham.

Ste has made huge contributions to this project over many years and I owe a lot of what we’ve achieved to his excellent work and friendship.

The new site for Attica will be launched soon, where you’ll be able to find out more about the artists and musicians we’re hosting. Watch this space.
